I became a jeweler after coming to the realization that being a scientist was less fulfilling than being an artist. And choosing jewelry was only natural because I have always felt a connection with gemstones. One may even say that they sing to me. Sometimes it is a very clear and short song, and I see the design for a certain stone right away. But there are times when I have to listen to them more closely before a picture becomes clear.
I have always enjoyed the fluid lines of Art Nouveau and some of my creations show that influence. In other pieces I try to show the beauty of nature around us, like butterflies and lilies. And sometimes I find inspiration in paintings by Kandinsky or Chagall.
